As far as I know, this is not crop but a plot. My relative has a plot at that place and I exactly remember the background houses.
Ok then lets give a high five to CDA and hope they will actually bring in some machinery and get going with construction work on Margalla Avenue.
Isn't it so that work on MA will kick start with payments to contractor and land acquisition issues like graveyard etc?
I remember once CDA made payment to MAB ( contractor ) of D-12. I went after a week or so and they had started working on Service road South of D-12.
Afterall, metro bus projects are successful due to timely payments to contractors ( Politics aside).
Well there was a news coming that CDA has allocated funds for Margalla Avenue, so they must have cleared the dues or must have done partial payments. I dont see payment as a serious problem, yes Graveyard can become a problem and they are saying that they will construct a bridge over it, that adds to the problem, i dont think they can make bridge in the same budget, so they have to do a lot of maths and designing again for the bridge structure.
They will build the road thats for sure inshaAllah.
The only question is will the Govt survive?

All predictions are turning out to be wrong..... Lets see what will happen to Margalla Avenue Project. It's more than half built, and the balance of the work is pending.
First there was Punjab government's objections for forest area on lease from Pubnjab, then there was the issue of the Coontractor's insurance guarantee instead of bank guarantee as per contract terms, then the graveyard on the way and now the protests.
Lets hope things normalise in Pakistan. All this is in no one's interest. Lets not sacrifice the country for personal egos.
@pk1 ,Its all about priorities metro is still going on at fast pace where the protests are
taking place where as Margalla avenue is not directly hindered by rhe protests.Its just a matter of making payments to the contractor
It was announced by chairman CDA that it will start after eid and then i commented that will be after bakra eid. Hahahaha and that seems to become true as bakra eid agai, but kam nahi shuru howa. Well this project has to complete as it is about 60% on ground hence cant be cancelled.
It has to complete, but N League has no interest in it as they have not saving any bucks in this, shame on everybody involved.

Insha Allah in coming week CDA will start working on MA to connect B-17 to D-12. Good news for all ZONE 2 investors.

Well cant say that for sure because this is a news about the extension of Margalla avenue to connect it to murree expressway. Well what we are interested in is MA completing till D12. Lets see if they could complete that and resolve all issues.
Whats the point of extending margalla avenue to the murree expressway when already there is a kashmir highway available just 6km away.
The route will be shorter and will bypass bhara kahu which is getting increasingly congested.
