Islamabad: The announcement of the government’s affordable housing project with five million units is expected today, according to a news report. The private sector is going to be engaged for the purpose as well.
The recommendation to offer loans of 20 to 25 years from private banks is also under consideration. The government will invite the private sector to submit applications for the construction of houses. The construction of 3-, and 5-marla houses will be the top priority. Apartment buildings will also be constructed in the cities, while in rural areas, small single-storey residences will be constructed.
