Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has directed the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit (PMDU) to connect all federal complaint cells with the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal (PCP), according to a news report published on September 24.
He further asked the PMDU administration to complete the interlinking process within 60 days and determine the modalities, as well as chalk out integration plans, in consultation with the officials concerned.
According to reports, a number of manual and IT-based complaint cells are currently operating under the federal government organisations. Officials say that the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal is the most vibrant complaint resolution system in the country – and is being run by the PMDU since October 2018.
During the last two years, the facility has registered 1,115,000 complaints filed by 28 million users on a monthly basis.
The meeting members were informed that the interlinking of complaint cells would help eliminate confusion and ambiguity faced by the citizens and all complaints will be lodged onto the same platform.
