Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to begin the process of handing over developed plots in sectors E-12, C-14 and I-12 by issuing possession letters to eligible allottees.
The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf to review the progress of development work in various sectors of Islamabad.
Officials informed the meeting that around 2,200 plots in E-12 and more than 5,000 plots in I-12 are ready for possession, while most plots in C-14 have also been developed and are ready to be handed over.
The CDA chairman directed the relevant wing to contact plot owners and expedite the issuance of possession letters. He also instructed the engineering wing to complete the remaining development and finishing work in the three sectors at the earliest.
The meeting also decided to review development plans for several stalled sectors, including E-13, F-13, D-13, C-13, C-15 and C-16, at the next meeting. According to officials, more than 90% of development work has been completed in I-12 and C-14, while work in E-12 is still underway.
The CDA said it is prioritising the completion of ongoing sector development projects to facilitate plot owners and improve the availability of residential land in the federal capital.
