Under the agreement, consultancy services for the project will be provided by the joint venture DAR-OCL-ASIAN JV, with construction work scheduled to commence from April 21, 2026.
Greenfield airports are developed on previously unused land, allowing planners and engineers to design and build infrastructure from scratch without the limitations of existing structures. Such projects enable efficient, modern designs and are increasingly popular worldwide, with major initiatives underway in cities like Beijing, Istanbul, Sydney, and Chennai.
The Faisalabad project is expected to enhance regional connectivity, boost economic growth, and position the city as a key emerging hub in Pakistan’s aviation sector.
