Quetta: Balochistan has launched its first digital entrepreneurship platform in Quetta to support startups, promote innovation and help young entrepreneurs develop viable business ventures.
Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel highlighted the initiative while addressing a programme at the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), where finalists of the Digital Entrepreneurship Won-it programme presented their business ideas.
Describing the platform as a positive step for the province, the governor said it aims to encourage entrepreneurship by helping young people adapt to modern digital business practices and achieve greater economic independence.
He said the platform will provide aspiring entrepreneurs with an opportunity to showcase innovative business ideas, receive guidance from industry experts and access business grants to turn their concepts into successful ventures.
Mandokhel said the initiative is intended to strengthen Balochistan’s startup ecosystem by promoting innovation, expanding networking opportunities and supporting the commercialisation of new ideas.
He also urged the province’s youth to take advantage of the platform to develop their skills, launch businesses and contribute to economic growth through entrepreneurship.
