Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Tahir Farooq on Sunday visited LDA City to review ongoing development works and issued directives for the timely resolution of pending issues affecting the project’s progress.
During the visit, the LDA DG was accompanied by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) and the Chief Engineer LDA. Officials from LDA City, including the Project Director and Director Land Acquisition, briefed him on the ongoing development activities, particularly work on the LDA City Structure Plan Road and the layout and positioning of additional blocks within the scheme.
The briefing highlighted that development work is actively underway across multiple sections of the project, while construction and planning activities continue to move forward in phases.
The LDA DG expressed satisfaction over the rising trend of house construction within LDA City and stressed that the provision of basic civic facilities must be ensured for residents already living in the scheme. He directed the relevant departments to expedite development work and address outstanding issues without delay.

As part of the visit, the DG also reviewed the land acquisition process in village Toor Warraich and inspected the One Window Cell established for facilitating land acquisition-related matters. He interacted with citizens present at the facility and inquired about the challenges they were facing in the process.
He assured that full administrative support would be provided to ensure smooth processing of documentation and timely payments, emphasizing the importance of transparency and efficiency in land acquisition procedures.
The LDA DG further directed that LDA City and Revenue Department staff remain available at the One Window Cell during office hours to assist citizens and ensure prompt resolution of queries and applications.
Officials stated that the visit was aimed at improving coordination between departments and accelerating development work in LDA City, which remains one of the key housing and infrastructure projects under the LDA’s supervision.
