Islamabad: Federal Board of Revenue Chairman Nisar Muhammad Khan has said that the real estate amnesty scheme is under consideration, but the board hasn’t received any recommendations in this regard, according to a news source.
In a meeting with the officials of Senate’s Standing Committee on Finance, Khan said that the National Assembly’s Finance Committee is discussing different aspects of amnesty scheme. During the meeting he expressed that amnesty for the real estate sector already exists as property worth PKR 100 million is already registered at PKR 10 million. He also affirmed that FBR will definitely probe the remaining PKR 90 million.
Khan accepted that the revenue collected from the property sector dropped in Q1 of the fiscal year.
