Islamabad: Pak Gulf Construction (Pvt.) Limited, the owners of the city’s Centaurus Complex, recently signed a Management Agreement with the globally renowned Swiss hotel management firm, Movenpick Hotel & Resorts — a news source reported. As per the publication, the two companies had agreed to establish the “Movenpick Hotel Centaurus Islamabad” in Tower C of the said complex.
However, only a short while ago the ACCOR Hospitality Company bought the Movenpick Hotel & Resorts chain. Subsequently, now it is ACCOR that plans to establish a state-of-art hotel facility in Tower C of the Centaurus Complex. Reportedly, the firm is expected to make an approximate investment of USD 100 million for the purpose — with both ACCOR and the management of the Centaurus complex anticipated to develop the hotel together.
According to the information available, ACCOR operates within 100 countries around the world, and owns 4,800 hotels; including the Movenpick Hotels & Resorts.
