The revised penalties have been introduced under the “Safe Roads, Safe Punjab” initiative on the directives of Punjab Ring Road Authority Chairperson Safiullah Gondal, as authorities seek to strengthen traffic enforcement and improve road safety.

Authorities have urged motorists to comply with traffic regulations and avoid violations that could result in financial penalties. The revised schedule applies to Lahore Ring Road, and motorists should distinguish these charges from penalties imposed under separate traffic enforcement systems across the city. The move follows broader efforts to improve road discipline in Lahore, with enforcement measures targeting speeding, unsafe driving practices and other violations that can compromise road safety.
