Pakistan has invited Kazakh investors to explore investment opportunities in its major ports, including Gwadar and Karachi, as part of efforts to strengthen regional trade and maritime cooperation.
The invitation was extended by Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry during a meeting with a high-level delegation from Kazakhstan.
During the discussions, both sides focused on expanding trade, investment, and connectivity between Pakistan and Central Asian states. The minister highlighted that Pakistan’s ports can serve as a key trade gateway for the region, linking Central Asia with Gulf and African markets.
He also offered investment opportunities in transshipment facilities and multi-purpose terminals, stating that improved port infrastructure would enhance regional trade efficiency and logistics connectivity.

Officials said that Kazakh company Freedom Holding Corp also expressed interest in potential investment opportunities in Pakistan’s maritime sector during the meeting.
The Kazakh delegation expressed confidence in Pakistan’s economic and maritime policies and reiterated its commitment to strengthening bilateral trade and investment relations between the two countries.
