Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to relocate marble factories from Warsak Road to the Mohmand Marble City Economic Zone in a move aimed at reducing pollution and promoting organised industrial growth.
A total of 235 marble units will be shifted to the 350-acre industrial estate, which has been equipped with uninterrupted electricity, water, and other essential facilities. Officials confirmed that a dedicated 50-megawatt grid station has been set up to ensure round-the-clock power supply.

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Riaz Khan Mahsud said the relocation would help curb environmental hazards while boosting industrial development. “The provincial government is committed to providing a sustainable environment for industries and citizens alike. Shifting the marble factories will not only reduce environmental hazards but also promote organised industrial development,” he remarked.
The commissioner also directed the Assistant Commissioner of Shah Alam to immediately impose a ban on the issuance of new no-objection certificates (NOCs) for marble factories along Warsak Road and to ensure the timely relocation of all existing units to Mohmand Marble City.
