Rawalpindi: Authorities have approved a PKR 2.22 billion project to develop 17 villages in Rawalpindi Division as “Model Villages” under the Annual Development Programme (ADP).
The initiative aims to improve basic infrastructure and municipal services in the selected villages, including drinking water supply schemes, sewerage systems, drainage networks, paved roads and streets, and installation of water filtration plants to ensure clean drinking water. The project will also establish new dispensaries and basic health units, as well as recruit sanitary workers for proper waste management.
The 17 villages identified for the project include nine from Rawalpindi District — Narha Bagwan, Dhok Gujran, Misrial, Nothia, Kalyal, Meena Potha, Kot Rajgan, Sindhu Sayedan, and Mattor; five from Attock District — Pind Fateh, Mithal, Kot Fateh Khan, Garshin, and Jand Bander; and four from Chakwal District — Jhatla, Kot Sarang, Mulhal Mughlan, and Malakwal.
