Islamabad: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with M/s ZKB Town (Pvt.) Ltd to jointly develop a large-scale residential housing project near Islamabad International Airport.
The initiative, launched under the FGEHA Joint Venture and Public-Private Partnership (JV & PPP) Rules, 2025, will follow the End Product Model. In its first phase, the project will cover over 6,000 kanals of land located near Islamabad International Airport and Motorway M-14, accommodating around 10,000 registered members.
The signing ceremony was attended by FGEHA officials, representatives of ZKB Town (Pvt.) Ltd, media personnel, and officials from various government departments.
Speaking at the ceremony, FGEHA Director General Captain (R) Muhammad Zafar Iqbal said the project represents a significant step toward providing affordable and quality housing to federal employees. He added that the agreement underscores the government’s commitment to advancing housing development through the public-private partnership model.

Newly appointed Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Works, Captain (R) Muhammad Mahmood, was also briefed on the Authority’s ongoing and completed projects. DG FGEHA informed that several housing schemes in Islamabad and Karachi have already been completed, while others are progressing rapidly.
He further highlighted the Authority’s achievements in maintaining modern construction standards, ensuring transparent allotment systems, and offering online services for public convenience.
Secretary Housing and Works appreciated FGEHA’s performance and reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to delivering safe, affordable, and high-quality housing for its employees. He also stressed the importance of timely project completion and maintaining transparency throughout the process.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, newly elected Chairman of the All-Pakistan Newspaper Employees Confederation (APNEC) Muhammad Sadiq Anzar presented a shield to DG FGEHA in recognition of his leadership and service.
