Lahore: The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), has clarified that the upcoming healthcare university and an affiliated medical college at CBD NSIT will be established through a collaboration between NovaCare and the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHT), an independent UK-based NHS institution.
In an official statement, the authority confirmed that the project remains on track under the NovaCare–ICHT partnership, which aims to create a world-class hub for healthcare education, research, and innovation at CBD NSIT, Lahore.

The clarification follows earlier claims suggesting that a campus of the Imperial College London would be established at the Nawaz Sharif IT City, alongside a 300-bed hospital.
CBD Punjab stated that the healthcare initiative at NSIT is being developed under the direct supervision of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (UK), reinforcing the authority’s commitment to promoting international collaborations in Punjab’s healthcare and education sectors.
The upcoming facility is expected to provide advanced medical education and state-of-the-art research opportunities, aligning with the broader development vision for the Central Business District in Lahore.
