During the briefing, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab presented details of an alternative traffic corridor project from Azeempura to Landhi Murtaza Chowrangi. The proposed PKR 582 million project is designed to ease congestion by diverting traffic towards Shahrah-e-Bhutto and reducing pressure on residential areas.
The chief minister directed the Local Government Department to submit the project for formal approval without delay, emphasizing the need for coordinated planning and swift execution of development work.
Murad Ali Shah stressed that Karachi’s growing population and rising traffic demands require urgent infrastructure upgrades and integrated urban planning to improve daily commuting conditions and long-term mobility.
