Islamabad: Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Tourism Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan on Thursday met Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa at CDA Headquarters to discuss initiatives aimed at boosting Islamabad’s tourism and hospitality sectors.
During the meeting, Randhawa said the authority was working on several projects to position Islamabad as a leading tourism hub. These include plans for a cable car, theme park and safari park. He added that the city offers excellent opportunities for developing both tourism and the hotel industry.

The CDA chief also highlighted urban development initiatives such as establishing a dedicated Food Street and pedestrian tracks in Blue Area and other locations. To address traffic congestion, he said digital parking solutions were being introduced, while the parking plaza in Blue Area was nearing completion.
According to officials, the projects are part of broader efforts to improve Islamabad’s infrastructure and attract more visitors to the capital.
