Officials said discussions centered on hotel and hospitality-related projects across the capital. Randhawa highlighted Islamabad’s growing importance as a host city for major international events, including the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, calling it an “excellent opportunity” for investment.
“There are significant opportunities to promote the hotel industry in Islamabad, which will help position the city as both a diplomatic and tourist hub,” Randhawa remarked. He added that CDA was ready to collaborate with EOBI on a revenue-sharing basis, with projects designed to generate long-term income streams.
EOBI Chairman Dr. Javed Sheikh welcomed the proposal, noting that EOBI’s Investment Committee would review the initiatives for feasibility and approval.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to pursuing ventures aimed at strengthening Islamabad’s hospitality infrastructure while ensuring sustainable financial returns.
