Lahore: Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Ejaz has reviewed the progress and final design of the under-construction floating restaurant on Canal Road and directed officials to ensure high construction and safety standards.
During his visit to the project site near the Journalists Housing Scheme, the DC was briefed on the ongoing construction work and overall development plan. He directed the executing agencies to ensure compliance with engineering standards and use quality construction materials.

Ejaz also instructed officials to continue construction without disrupting traffic flow on Canal Road and ensure strict workplace safety protocols. He directed relevant departments to prepare a landscaping and plantation plan around the project and improve coordination to ensure its timely completion.
The deputy commissioner said the floating restaurant, envisioned by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, would become a major recreational attraction, enhance Lahore’s beauty and support tourism in the provincial capital.
