Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) is set to develop a technology and IT hub on nearly 119 kanals of land along Ferozepur Road, as reported by a news article on August 29.
According to LDA officials, the project is close to Arfa Karim Tower, as part of efforts to promote technology-related business activity in the city. The internal market assessments identified the site as suitable for IT and allied businesses. The proposed development, referred to as Tech Park City, will involve private-sector participation through the auction of commercial plots. LDA Chief Town Planner Asaduz Zaman said the authority intends to develop the site as a modern IT and commercial hub, with facilities planned to support businesses and visitors, including dedicated parking.
Under the latest development plan, approximately 50 kanals will be designated for commercial activity, while other portions will accommodate public facilities, parks, roads and parking infrastructure. Commercial plots of different sizes are planned, with proposed building heights of up to 72 feet for ground-plus-five-storey structures and 90 feet for ground-plus-six-storey structures. The first round of plot auctions is scheduled for October 14, 2026, while additional plots are expected to be offered in 2027 and 2028.
The LDA estimates that the commercial auctions could generate approximately PKR 13.566 billion in revenue. Separate leasing arrangements for a petrol station and food outlet are expected to generate an estimated PKR 45 million. LDA Director (Auction) Ali Bin Sohail said the project is expected to contribute to business activity in Lahore’s growing IT sector.
