Rawalpindi: Commissioner Rawalpindi Division and Director General Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Salman Ghani has directed the Chief Planner RDA to ensure strict implementation of the recently notified amendments to the Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Schemes Rules.
According to an RDA spokesperson, the amendments were introduced to streamline the approval process, improve transparency and enhance the efficiency of regulating private housing schemes within the authority’s jurisdiction.
Under the amended rules, promoters, developers and applicants seeking approval, extension, renewal or any other permission related to private housing schemes must submit their applications exclusively through the Housing Scheme Management System (HSMS).

The RDA said the online submission system would facilitate applicants by enabling more efficient processing, greater transparency and timely disposal of cases. Applicants have been advised to submit complete and accurate documents to avoid delays.
Ghani directed all stakeholders to comply with the amended rules and use the HSMS portal for future submissions related to private housing schemes.
He also instructed RDA officials to facilitate applicants and ensure the prompt processing of online applications in accordance with the revised rules.
The commissioner said the RDA was committed to promoting digital governance, transparency, accountability and ease of doing business through technology-driven public services.
