Under the restructured model, PTDC will focus on tourism policy support, coordination between government entities, and marketing and brand development. The plan includes a rationalised staff strength and a revised board composition to meet modern governance standards.
The committee also directed the relevant ministry, in coordination with the Law Division, to submit a separate proposal covering funding arrangements for the revamped entity and management of PTDC’s current assets.
Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry joined the meeting virtually, along with secretaries and senior officials from related ministries, divisions, and regulatory bodies.
