Lahore: The Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) and the Board of Revenue Punjab have launched the province’s first overseas land transfer desk in London, enabling overseas Pakistanis to complete property and land transfer procedures without travelling to Pakistan.
The facility was formally inaugurated at the Pakistan High Commission in London on August 3, 2026, in collaboration with the Punjab government and the Pakistan High Commission.
Under the new arrangement, overseas Pakistanis can use a dedicated desk in London to process the transfer of their property and land in Punjab in a more convenient, secure and transparent manner. The facility is aimed at simplifying the documentation process while reducing the need for overseas Pakistanis to travel to Pakistan for land-related transactions.
According to officials, the initiative will promote greater transparency, convenience and innovation in land-related services, while ensuring secure record-keeping and facilitating property transfers for the Pakistani diaspora.
The launch marks the first international expansion of Punjab’s land transfer services for overseas Pakistanis. The PLRA is also preparing to establish similar facilities in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates within the next 30 days.
The initiative is expected to strengthen the confidence of overseas Pakistanis in Punjab’s land records system, facilitate secure property transfers and expand access to land-related services beyond Pakistan.
The overseas land transfer desks are part of efforts to provide more accessible and digitally enabled services to overseas Pakistanis and improve the transparency and efficiency of property transactions in Punjab.
