Rawalpindi A meeting was held at the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) office on Thursday to review progress on ongoing development projects and discuss key urban planning matters, including the proposed modification of the bike lane on Old Airport Road, construction of residential houses for RDA officers, and updates on the e-Biz Portal and e-FOAS system.
Chaired by Commissioner Rawalpindi Engineer Aamir Khattak, the meeting served as a platform to assess development strategies and identify measures to improve service delivery. The commissioner appreciated RDA’s efforts across multiple projects and stressed the importance of timely completion, noting that delays affect both residents and long-term urban planning goals.

Director General RDA Kinza Murtaza presented a detailed briefing on the progress, challenges, and planned adjustments across development initiatives. She reaffirmed RDA’s commitment to modern planning tools, greater transparency, and maintaining a high standard of work. She also highlighted the significance of the e-Biz Portal and e-FOAS in improving governance and streamlining public services.
DG Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Ahmed Hassan Ranjha provided updates on PHA-led projects, including landscaping, greenbelt development, and ongoing beautification works aimed at enhancing the city’s aesthetics.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from both RDA and PHA, including Director Engineering RDA Muhammad Anwar Baran; Chief Planner RDA Muhammad Tahir Meo; Director Administration RDA Iftikhar Ali; Director Finance RDA Shahid Yaqoob; and Director MP&TE RDA Atif Ch, among others.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening interdepartmental coordination, improving project execution, and ensuring efficient public service delivery for the betterment of Rawalpindi.
