The upcoming projects include the construction of a bridge and road network connecting Shahdara and Saggian to the M2 Motorway, as well as an expressway along the Ravi riverbed. A Marine Drive corridor is also planned along the river, envisioned to add both functional and aesthetic value to the urban landscape.
These initiatives are expected to significantly improve accessibility to and from Ravi City, positioning it as a strategic secondary gateway to Lahore. During the visit, representatives from RUDA’s engineering, enforcement, land, and planning departments were present, alongside officials from allied government agencies.
The new infrastructure is part of a broader vision by the Punjab government to enhance urban integration, streamline traffic flow, and promote sustainable development in Lahore’s expanding metropolitan area.
