During the inspection, the minister reviewed the extension work at Platforms No. 2 and 4 and directed officials to replace substandard seating facilities with better-quality benches. He also ordered the relocation of the Divisional Superintendent’s Office to Lahore Railway Station to strengthen monitoring of passenger services, ongoing projects and station operations.
The visit also covered passenger facilities, including family and executive lounges, where the minister reviewed air-conditioning and other amenities. The station’s broader upgrade programme includes improvements to passenger areas, accessibility features and modern facilities aimed at enhancing the travel experience.
