The Saidpur model village is still afflicted with the malady of acute water shortage. Places receiving water is impure and not fit for human consumption. The locales of the area have been demanding of the authorities to ensure pure water supply in this heat. In addition to the water scarcity and mountain impurities the dirty water from the Margalla hotels mixes with the water of the streams flowing down to Saidpur.
A resident said that the sewage water mixing with the water flow is a threat to the life of the residents. The details said that this sufficient increase in water supply has reduced the number of complaints from 900 to 650 per day. The remaining complaints of water shortage are being reduced by the provision of 30 water tankers.
