Lahore: The Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar directed owners of petrol pumps on LDA land to submit written replies, according to a news report. This order was passed by a three-judge bench which took suo moto notice of the matter.
Details reveal that 25 plots belonging to the LDA had been allotted for petrol pumps at extremely low prices. When one of the alleged owners made claims of defamation, the Chief Justice suggested a probe to clarify matters fully. The court was told that a committee has been formed to inquire into the matter, and replies have been demanded from the petrol pump owners.
