Can you please advise that which one of following in DHA valley will be worth holding & which one should be sold to move somewhere else
Sunflower 8 marla residential
Lilly 8 marla residential
Magnolia 8 marla commercial
In addition, how long should the aforementioned be held.?

Sunflower, Lilly, Oleander, Magnolia are the best blocks of DHA valley.
Rose is also good but at second level.
All other blocks difficult to advise as dam is still not decided.

On a different note, do you have any information or link to share with us on Zakat calculation related to real estate?
Specifically the situation like DHA Valley and generally for all Real estate related investments. I have an 8M (general) in Lotus and its kind of difficult to find zakat value for it given that no development/handover.
Your help would be highly appreciated.

Zakaat calculation and eligibility is different with different school of thoughts!
However with most , Zakaat is payable on the property if it is kept for appreciation with business thinking.
If it is kept for making home and there is no home in hand then eligibility gets void.
There is 2.5 % is payable on the plot you own if it is kept purely for appreciation and later selling.
Please ask any Mufti with good repute.

Oleander is the best block to buy but for living in ur stated period is not likely!
This place will rise but as of now situation might take another 2 years or so.
Development is at good pace and price is dirt cheap.
For investment it is ok
I talked to a dealer he said chairman of dealers association talked to MR while his visit of masjid inauguration and he promised 6 months for posssession.

Last year when i was trying to buy in Valley, everybody was saying Bluebell is the best block to invest in and now nobody is talking about Bluebell.

No doubt Blue bell was best block closest to Islamabad Highway but dam is still not decided and this block is still waiting on its fate.
I wrote several time here that the best block for investment are:

Lilly
Daffodil
Sunflower
Magnolia
Rose

Malik Riaz to construct dhadhoocha dam in DHA valley!
Upon SC hearing Mr Ehtizaz Ahsan put forward a formal proposal to complete the dam in ONE YEAR.
MR requested the supreme court that He will build the dam but there should assurance of no interference from Punjab govt baboos and from RDA.
MR further told the court that 20% of the dam land has been occupied by DHA valley and presented before court the alternate location#2.
The SC asked MR and govt baboos to appear before court after 7 days with full preparation.
Dealers have already jumping to by DHA files on cash payment.
