What if someone want the paid dollar back with DHA for overseas block? As they have policy of refund does it sound a good idea right now ? It approx equal to 18.5 lac

The balloted plots are already selling around 17-17.5 lacs and DHA is likely to handover more blocks in December. You should wait at least till Dec-19.
Now it seems dam drama has reached to its drop seen and once dam location has been decided and earth work starts, DHA valley/homes probably will be one of best investment locations in twin cities. Still dirt cheap.

Rawalpindi: The Punjab government has approved in principle the plans to initiate construction work on the Dadhocha Dam, for which, land-acquisition process will commence in July – a news source reported.
The provincial government has also finalised the plans for bringing water from Chahan Dam.

As per reports, Dadhocha Dam will be constructed near Dadhocha village in Rawalpindi Division. For this purpose, the executive recently allocated funds worth PKR 5 billion in its provincial budget for FY2019-20.
On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, officials of the revenue department visited the proposed construction site on Monday. This water supply scheme is expected to be completed at a cost of PKR 6 billion.
After construction of the dam, the installation of water supply lines and construction of water treatment plants will commence in the second phase.

Moreover, the government has allocated funds for laying water supply lines from Chahan Dam to its adjoining areas, as well as setting up a water treatment plant. These initiatives would help ensure water supply to the residents of Adiala Road and other parts of Rawalpindi Cantt.
According to the officials, work on laying water supply lines from Chahan Dam will start in the first quarter of the new fiscal year.

Dhadhoocha dam land acquisition has been approved. In fact as many as 11 water storages have been planned for water shortage in twin cities.
After Dhadhoocha location is selected, investment will pour to valley. Army needs money on gross scale to sustain welfare activities and to continue on military hardware buying. I can see valley in good shape after precise dam location.

Please note that Dadocha dam is being built at its original location, please grow up Army does not take money from real estate to buy hardware.
Also only 10,000 have been allocated plots so far through balloting and 60,000 are still waiting for a plot. The most important thing which no one is deliberatly commenting upon is the number of plots avaiable on land acquired, to my knowledge 25-50,000 plots only can be developed on the land acquired so far, so nearly half the allotees will get no plot, how will they be accomodated or compensated, why is nobody asking this and why is DHA silent on this?

Secondly, DHA does have ample land in extension. DHA valley money was looted and distributed among Malik Riaz and other stake holders. It was 62 billions of the then time!
Long story…. This dam was used as excuse on not developing valley by Bahria town as Punjab govt would say we would make dam on original location and DHA/BT would say, we can make on an alternate location as dam blocks have been developed already. BT then developed phase-8 and BTK from this money.
The drama kept playing for years till supreme court fell in picture and put a drop scene to it.
DHA valley is being developed nicely and since dam is decided, it has all reasons to appreciate.
In DHA-2, a 5 Marla is costing 75 lacs and not even available.
8 Marla in valley is costing 18 lacs plus DV charges is peanut.
After being declared for construction, how much would be the cost, I leave it to you?
Also sound parties are trying hard to get blocs near dam location to develop later as picnic places.
I am outside Pakistan, if you want to help forum members, please try to dig in the precise location and coordinates of the dam bowl.
It needs only one visit to RDA planning office and use resources to dig in.
So far no one claimed of having no plot/plots. In fact people are trying to revive their plots on non-payments!
Please note that Dadocha Dam site has been finalized at its original location. Please grow up Army does not utilize real estate money to buy hardware. 10,000 plots have been allocated after re-ballot, what about the rest of the 60,000, The question nobody is asking or is too afraid to ask is how many plots are available for allotment, as per my information not more than 25-30,000 as only that much land has been acquired. What will happen to the rest 30,000 for whom there are no plots, how will they be compensated or refunded, why is no body asking this question and why is DHA completely quite on the issue.

8 marla grey structures houses have not been completed for decades.Some have been handed out but others havent
Dha homes. Very sub-standard construction .the blocks the materials very thing.its very risky to own one for the safety of family as the way they are constructing the roof or walls will fell crack .
How do you know it’s substandard? Please elaborate as I’m very concerned
I agree, these homes are very substandard. I have seen videos on Youtube, thats shows the material that is used. I was shocked to see the progress. At least i will never plan to buy those houses. Please check and search Youtube.
I searched but did not find anything on youtube about the standard or specifically on substandard, I hope we are talking about the same place i.e. DHA Homes in Lilly sector.
Yes Dha homes in Lily block .please visit Grey structure and see .Size of columns , quality of blocks. C class construction cost around 2000 to 2500 per square feet. The total covered area for 8 marla is 2226 sq ft. Which becomes more then 55 lakhs for construction excluding cost of land.so think at which price dha have awarded this sub contract to contractor & how the subcontractor will compromise on quality and standards. Remember the original price before 11 years was 42 lakhs .Rest is self explanatory. The first lot of ready homes was built by Turkish builder Areaa which is way better as the cost of construction in 2010-2012 was cheap .
Hi,
My plot is balloted. So far i have paid 2 SDC installments. Some people are suggesting me to sell this and buy in societies near new Islamabad airport. Is it wise to keep this plot or sell it?
I am in no hurry to sell it if in long term it pays well.
