Yesterday, I met a dealer and gained following information,
Only 6 sectors are balloted and still balloting is going on...
1-Blue bell
2-Rose
3-Bougainvillea
4-Oleander
5-Lilly
6-Daffodils
These sectors are in development phase.
To me it seems that at first these sectors will be given possession and later DHA may develop some other sectors.

If you held your plots for so long, wait for another max 06 months as if Imran govt stays, there is huge plan of bypassing Pindi & Islamabad and brass plus HRL plus BT will not sit as a rotten vegetable and just see the game!
This bypass or ring road or whatever, is going to be another Kalabagh Dam, getting completion but plot price will increase.
You can then get the return of your investment. Also DHA has done a lot development and will handover in within 2020. High placed source say even earlier.
Yes MR is out from parts of valley but still He has stakes in valley. Valley is as big as Islamabad.

Can anyone please tell me if people live on rent in dha valley? Is it okay to rent out a 3 bedroom house there or would that be a bad idea?

A dozen or more families are living there in homes. The houses there have no rental value as that place is far away and basic grocery, school and hospital are not available so none is interested to go and live there. There is a small market /shop but that will be not enough.
Better to avoid it.
What are the prospects of homes after possession, I came to know that structures are available which will soon be delivered
CDA has now acquired 1000s of Kanals from the villagers.
This is being handed over to DHA. I think this will put some life in valley and extension.
As per mutual agreement, DHA will give developed plots to CDA in lieu of.
This acquired land was already paid to villagers but there was no will in CDA. It seems now someone hastighten the screws!
