Lahore: Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab) CEO Imran Amin has praised the authority’s infrastructure resilience during the monsoon season and directed contractors to accelerate development work at the Pakistan’s first and largest IT city, CBD NSIT City.
Amin issued the directives during a visit to key ongoing CBD Punjab projects, including CBD Vertex, CBD Route 47, CBD Walk and CBD NSIT City, where he reviewed construction progress, operational preparedness and monsoon safety measures.
At CBD NSIT City, the CEO instructed contractors to speed up development while maintaining uniform construction quality across the project. He also directed teams to expand green spaces and plan working hours carefully to minimise disruptions caused by the monsoon and ensure workforce safety.
The authority said its engineering and drainage systems successfully withstood 263 millimetres of rainfall, allowing CBD Route 47 to remain operational and accessible to traffic despite waterlogging in several parts of Lahore.
At CBD Vertex, Amin reviewed ongoing finishing works, including tile installation on the building elevation and epoxy flooring, and directed the project team to maintain quality standards and ensure timely completion.
He said CBD Punjab’s objective was to deliver infrastructure that could perform under challenging conditions, adding that the operation of Route 47 during heavy monsoon rains demonstrated the authority’s focus on resilient engineering, quality construction and sustainable urban development.
The CEO was accompanied by senior CBD Punjab officials, consultants and project contractors during the visit.
