Upgradation of all streets in Sector I-14 and improvements in the D-12 Markaz are also underway. Work on carpeting the main and service roads of E-12 is planned within this phase.
The project further includes repair and replacement of faulty streetlights and poles, installation of new signage boards for public guidance, and placement of speed breakers where required.
Officials told the meeting that sewage and drainage systems in several sectors will be addressed, with special attention given to covering open manholes and improving overall service infrastructure.
The CDA said the rehabilitation plan aims to enhance road safety, improve mobility, and upgrade basic civic amenities across Islamabad.
