Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Tuesday announced (via a press release) that it is going to initiate the preparation of the PC-1 required for the upkeep and beautification of the Kashmir and Islamabad Highways, a news source reported.
The PC-1 will not only include details of the work required for the one-time beautification and rehabilitation of the highways, but will also include a detailed plan for the upkeep pf these structures for the coming three years. The Director Road South has been selected to be responsible for the preparation of the document in question.
The CDA emphasised the importance of the upkeep of these structures as they serve as the gateway to the capital city. It is expected that the completed PC-1 will be presented at the upcoming CDA meeting with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), which will also likely feature a discussion on the interchange for Rawal Dam Chowk.
