Karachi: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has set up a facilitative desk at the Expo Centre in Karachi during the opening session of the ‘IT Minister’s Forum for Youth, Innovation, Industry & Ease of Doing Business’, a news source reported. The session is being held from September 17 to 19 as a part of the 19th Annual ITCN Asia.
The FBR aims to use the booth to educate the youth, industry players, and other stakeholders about its role in facilitating the ease of conducting business in the country. It will also provide information regarding other facilitative measures being taken for investors, tax payers, and businessmen, including simplification of the filing process, sales tax refund, and automation of their services.
The expo is providing the board with a unique opportunity to understand the challenges faced by the business community and hear their concerns, while also being able to address those concerns first-hand. Their representatives will also be able to communicate information regarding new initiatives being taken by the FBR, and dispel misconceptions about the organisation.
The team of representatives is being led by member Facilitation & Taxpayers Education (FATE) Mustafa Sajjad Hassan, assisted by Chief FATE Tehmina Aamer, along with field officers from the city.
