Islamabad: The upgrade of Islamabad into a smart city is reported to be 75% complete, with all work on Phase II of the Safe City project scheduled for completion by May 30.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who chaired a meeting at the Safe City Headquarters, directed officials to ensure the project stays on schedule. The plan includes upgrades to the Central Command and Control System, integration of policing, traffic management, and citizen service systems, as well as modernized traffic and crime control measures.

Officials confirmed that resources are being fully utilized to complete the smart city transformation, and the new design of the Safe City Headquarters has also been approved.
