Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has integrated its service system with the Punjab government’s recently launched E-Biz Portal, marking a key step towards improving service delivery and administrative efficiency.
The decision was discussed during a meeting chaired by LDA Director General Tahir Farooq on Tuesday. Chief IT Officer Abdul Basit briefed the participants on the ongoing and under-processed cases received through the portal.
According to the LDA, citizens can now access a range of services through the E-Biz Portal, including commercialisation, land use conversion, and commercial building plan approvals.
So far, the authority has received 22 applications via the portal, with the first commercial map approved within 48 hours of submission — a significant improvement in processing speed.
The LDA has set a timeline of 30 working days for processing applications submitted through the portal, aiming to ensure transparency and timely service for the public.
Officials said the integration with the E-Biz Portal reflects the government’s broader digitalisation drive to simplify administrative procedures and make government services more accessible to citizens.
