Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority has announced plans to intensify its revenue generation campaign immediately after Ramadan to meet financial targets for the current year.
During a meeting on Friday, LDA Director General Tahir Farooq emphasized that the recovery campaign should be accelerated to achieve the revenue goals set for the last quarter of the year. The session reviewed the authority’s current financial targets and discussed strategies for efficient revenue collection.
Officials at the meeting included the Additional DG of Kachi Abadis, Chief Town Planner One and Two, Chief Metropolitan Planner, and Directors of Auction, Revenue, and LDA Avenue One.

As part of the revenue drive, the LDA has issued a notification for the commercialisation of key roads, including Barki Road, Ring Road from BRB Canal, College Road from Ghazi Chowk to UET Roundabout, Defence Road from Babhtian Chowk to Kahna, and GT Road from Quaid-e-Azam Interchange to BRB Canal. Early revenue recovery from these roads has been highlighted as a priority.
The Director of Auction also briefed participants on the proposed auction scheduled for April, while the DG instructed all town planning officers to engage directly in the field and submit regular progress reports on revenue collection.
The LDA’s renewed focus on revenue generation aims to strengthen the authority’s financial position and ensure timely completion of developmental projects across Lahore.
