Lahore: Under the leadership of CEO Babar Sahib Din, the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has launched an intensified sanitation campaign to make Lahore’s streets, homes, and neighborhoods cleaner and healthier.
The ambitious operation covers forty of the city’s major roads, involving coordinated efforts such as scraping, washing, sprinkling, and anti-dust measures. Key areas included in the sweep are Ferozepur Road, Hali Road, Main Boulevard Gulberg, Noor Jahan Road, Mall Road, Sagiyan Road, Taj Company Road, Shahdara Chowk, GT Road, Truck Adda, and Lari Adda.
Further cleaning activities are ongoing on Circular Road, Aik Moria Pull, near the Railway Station, Shalamar Bagh, Bhogiwal Road, Daroghawala, and Salamatpura. Intensive scraping and sprinkling are also underway in neighborhoods like Mominpura’s Bhini Road, Dharampura, Harbanspura, and Rehmanpura.

Sanitation squads are actively combating dust in prominent corridors including Maulana Shaukat Ali Road, Pico Road, Allah Hoo Chowk, College Road, Bagrian Chowk, Kacha Jail Road, Madar-e-Millat Road, Multan Road, Thokar Chowk, MAO Chowk, Chauburji, and Azadi Chowk.
CEO Babar Sahib Din reaffirmed LWMC’s commitment to providing Lahore’s residents with a clean and safe environment. He urged citizens to avoid littering or burning garbage and emphasized the proper use of designated trash bins to support the city’s cleanliness drive.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza visited tehsil Sadar areas on Monday to inspect cleanliness and administrative operations. He was accompanied by the Chief Officer of Metropolitan Corporation Lahore, the Additional Deputy Commissioner General, and Assistant Commissioner Sadar Sadia Hussain Dogar. During the visit, the Assistant Commissioner briefed the DC on ongoing sanitation initiatives.
