Islamabad: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a mobile application enabling citizens to register life events—such as births, deaths, and changes in marital status—without visiting government offices.
The initiative was unveiled during the second meeting of the National Registration and Biometric Policy Framework Implementation Committee, attended by representatives from federal ministries, regulatory bodies, and provincial departments.

“This mobile application enables citizens to register life events online from their homes. Initially, the rollout will begin in Punjab,” said NADRA Chairman Lt Gen (Retd) Muhammad Munir Afsar. He added that the app is part of NADRA’s broader push to digitize public services and improve the accuracy of the national database.
To support the new system, biometric verification services are being extended to union councils across Punjab. A live demonstration of the app was presented to officials from the Local Government Department.
Additionally, one-window registration counters are being established at union councils in the federal capital to further simplify access to registration services.
