Lahore: To control the subsoil water (WASA) from dropping any further, Water and Sanitation Authority has recommended Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) to use water used for performing ablution in mosques, a news source reported. For this purpose, PHA has also been recommended to build special water storage tanks in mosques, water collected in these tanks will later be used for irrigating plants.
Taken as an additional measure to reducing the dropping rate of subsoil water, WASA managing director has decided that citizens will get water supply for 12 hours instead of 24 hours.
