The project aims to improve the infrastructure and ease the traffic flow on the crucial stretch of Raiwind Road, from Lake City to the Raiwind area in District Lahore. This development is expected to significantly reduce congestion and enhance connectivity in one of Lahore’s growing areas.
Along with the Lahore Raiwind Road project, the PDWP also approved two other development schemes: the Progressive Control of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) in Punjab with an estimated cost of PKR 863.50 million, and the construction of a new district jail in Nankana at a cost of PKR 2.238 billion.
The approval of the Raiwind Road rehabilitation project reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing Lahore’s infrastructure, which is vital to accommodating the city’s growing population and improving the overall quality of life for residents.
