Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has intensified a province-wide campaign against property tax defaulters, sealing multiple units and recovering outstanding dues in several districts.
Officials said enforcement actions have been stepped up against chronic defaulters who failed to clear liabilities despite repeated notices. Legal proceedings have also been initiated in cases of continued non-compliance.
In Nowshera, authorities sealed several properties in the Jehangira area and recovered around Rs300,000 in a single day. Similar action in Mardan resulted in the sealing of multiple units and recovery of over Rs2.14 million, which was deposited into the government treasury.

Operations were also carried out in Mansehra and Peshawar, where properties were sealed over non-payment of taxes, including in commercial areas such as Karkhano Market.
Officials said the campaign will continue across the province, urging property owners to clear outstanding dues to avoid further legal action.
