Lahore: The Punjab government, through a publication-notification, has revealed its recently undertaken ease-of-doing business measures in the province. According to the announcement, these measures include reforms for property registration, construction permits, payment of taxes, and setting-up businesses and new utility connections.

The following measures have been introduced for each of these categories:
Property Registration
- Fard-e-malkiat (record of rights) can be obtained online
 - Transfer registry has been made available online
 - Property transfer to be completed within 8 days
 - Computerisation of all the properties, land, and transfer registries
 
Construction Permits
- Construction permits and completion certificates can be obtained online
 - Online payment option for the construction permit and completion certificates
 - Warehouses no longer require Environment Protection Department’s NOC
 - Insaf Portal (app) for LDA’s e-permits
 - Reduced fees and time required for Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) connections

- Time for application processing reduced from 73 to 49 days
