Following the freezing of all accounts of DHA in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and the conviction of two relatives of Prevaiz Ashraf along with five other individuals (including the former EOBI chairman, Zafar Gondal) regarding the purchase of property on higher rates in Kalar Kahar, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) raided the house, F64 in Islamabad for the arrest of the former EOBI chairman Zafar Gondal, who managed to escape from under their noses. During the raid the servant at the residence confessed that Mr Gondal was staying there a few days earlier. FIA has, as a result of the raid, initiated the processes required for the confiscation of Mr. Gondal’s newly discovered property at Islamabad.
