Officials briefed the meeting that the Gardenia Hub project—being developed by converting the CDA model nursery into a modern horticultural and leisure space—is nearing completion. The facility will feature landscaped gardens, plant displays and recreational areas, adding to Islamabad’s green cover while offering residents and visitors quality leisure options.
Consultants are currently preparing technical studies and feasibility reports for the theme park, Ferris wheel and other projects, which will later be supported by transaction advisors to ensure compliance with international standards.
Randhawa said the developments are in line with the Prime Minister’s vision and the Interior Ministry’s directives to make Islamabad not only environmentally friendly and beautiful but also a global hub for tourism and recreation. He added that once completed, the projects will generate employment, support local businesses and enhance the city’s appeal for domestic and international visitors.
