Karachi: The Sindh government has launched a digital job portal aimed at promoting transparency, merit, and efficiency in the province’s public sector recruitment process.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the portal at a ceremony attended by government officials, technology experts, and representatives from the provincial IT department. He said the initiative marks a major step toward digitising governance and ensuring that employment opportunities are accessible to all qualified citizens without political or bureaucratic influence.
According to officials, the Sindh Job Portal will serve as a centralised platform for all government departments to post vacancies, accept applications, and track the recruitment process in real time. The system is designed to reduce paperwork, minimise delays, and enhance accountability through digital record-keeping and automated shortlisting based on merit.

The portal also allows applicants to create online profiles, upload credentials, and monitor the status of their applications. In the long term, authorities plan to integrate the platform with other provincial databases to verify applicants’ qualifications and prevent fraudulent submissions.
Highlighting the government’s broader digitalisation efforts, CM Shah said the initiative aligns with Sindh’s goal of adopting technology to improve governance, public service delivery, and youth employment prospects. He added that the provincial government is committed to creating a fair and transparent system where talent is recognised purely on merit.
The Sindh Information Science and Technology Department developed the portal in collaboration with the provincial Human Resources Department. Officials noted that the platform will gradually be expanded to include opportunities in semi-government institutions and autonomous bodies.
The portal is now live, and candidates can access it through the official Sindh government website.
