Lahore: The Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab) has announced notable progress on its flagship development project, Pakistan’s largest Information Technology hub — the NSIT City.
According to officials, nearly 70% of the drainage network has been completed, while development across Packages I, II, and III continues as planned. The water-bound macadam layer has also been laid across several key sections of the site.
CBD Punjab’s Executive Director Technical, Riaz Hussain, stated that asphalt carpeting on Circular Roads I and II will commence in September once the monsoon season ends. He emphasized that the project is advancing strictly in line with its approved timeline.
“The completion of core infrastructure, including roads and drainage, will allow for the official handover of designated plots to universities, IT institutions, and recreational bodies,” Hussain said. “This milestone will set the stage for vertical construction and the introduction of advanced facilities in education, innovation, and entrepreneurship.”

In addition to infrastructure works, construction on the Celestia IT & Office Tower — located in the Silicon Block of NSIT City — is also progressing. Officials confirmed that 55% of the structural and finishing works have been completed. The high-rise has been designed as a modern mixed-use development built to international standards of quality and sustainability.
Commenting on the overall progress, CBD Punjab CEO Imran Amin described the projects as transformative for the province. “The CBD NSIT City and Celestia IT & Office Tower will not only reshape Punjab’s economic fabric but also establish it as a leading destination for IT, business, and modern living,” he said.
With work advancing steadily and deadlines being met, CBD Punjab is positioning NSIT City as a cornerstone for technology-driven growth and a symbol of urban and economic transformation in the province.
