Lahore: Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab) has secured Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Communities Gold Precertification for its Quaid & Bab District project from the Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI).
The international recognition reflects the project’s focus on sustainable urban planning and environmentally responsible, resilient and future-ready development.
LEED for Communities is a sustainability rating system that evaluates districts against criteria including environmental stewardship, resilience, infrastructure, quality of life, mobility, governance and long-term economic sustainability.
According to CBD Punjab, GBCI awarded the Gold-level precertification following a technical review that found the Quaid & Bab District compliant with the sustainability criteria of the LEED for Communities rating system.
CBD Punjab CEO Imran Amin said the achievement validated the authority’s vision of developing internationally competitive business districts that are environmentally sustainable, economically vibrant and designed around people’s needs.
The authority said the recognition reinforces its commitment to sustainable urban development and alignment with internationally recognised green development standards.
