Quetta: Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has directed the officials concerned to carry out 5,000 COVID-19 tests in the city on a daily basis, according to a news report. He made this statement at a meeting held to review the provincial status of the COVID-19 pandemic and the preventative efforts being carried out to counter it.
The attendees of the meeting also decided to initiate testing in the Jaffarabad district. Authorities will coordinate with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to procure two additional PCR machines and testing kits – and in turn increase the testing capacity.
